Edward Bawden (1903–1989) was widely admired in his lifetime and is still well known today as an illustrator, printmaker and commercial designer of rare talent. Not since Bawden’s death has such a wide-ranging collection of his work been assembled, including a number of previously unpublished works. This publication is both a colourful introduction to the work of a remarkable twentieth-century British artist and an intimate portrait of a fascinating man. Published to coincide with Dulwich Picture Gallery's hugely popular exhibition in summer 2018.
