These leather keyrings were created exclusively for Dulwich Picture Gallery by Ark Colour Design, inspired by Harald Sohlberg’s Street in Rorøs, 1902. They celebrate the colourful houses of Rorøs, one of the oldest towns of authentic wooden buildings in Europe. Today, the entire town centre is protected as a UNESCO world heritage site.
Ark Colour Design is based in Cambridge. It is the collaboration between Jane Richards and Amy Lindsay, who draw on their backgrounds in fashion and fine art to design fun, well-made leather products inspired by the rainbow.
The keyrings are made by a small family run manufacturer in Scotland. The leather is processed in their on-site tannery and then cut and foil embossed. Because every piece is hand finished with embossing, each one is unique to the next.
